I often get frustrated when I spend time reading a blog post offering tips, "secrets," and/or strategies for increased audience engagement via social and digital media. More often than not (okay, almost always), the so-called "secrets" are plainly obvious to anyone with a basic understanding of digital marketing.

In an effort to change that, I put together a slide deck that indie film teams can actually use to guide their online audience engagement efforts from day one. It includes specific information about developing a content strategy, an editorial calendar, a basic web presence, and, more broadly, setting goals/KPIs and analyzing influencer networks.

It's the first in a series of concrete tools I'll be making available to indie filmmakers and entrepreneurs in the spirit of the DIY ethos. I hope you find it useful, and please do share it with fellow filmmakers. Good luck!
